Concurrent Design Support Engineer

Description:
Support CD Programs/Projects in the following fields:
- CDF Integrated Design Model:
- Provide support to design teams on the use of the CDF Integrated Design Model (i.e. interlinked set of MS Excel workbooks)
- Support and lead the maintenance and development on the CDF IDM, using
- VBA
- VB6
- VSTO (C#)
- Support external users of the CDF IDM in the use of the IDM as basis to setup their CDFs.
- System Of Systems:
- Participate in CD activities related to System Of Systems (SoS) and Architecture Design, participate in studies as SoS Manager/ Architect support.
- Work on architecture modelling using System Architect (IBM) and use Focal Point (IBM) for alternative architecture identification.
- Open Concurrent Design Server (OCDS)
- Support the work related to the CDF Open Concurrent Design Server (OCDS) initiative in the fields of data modelling (in UML, SysML), software development, user requirement definition, testing etc.
- Knowledge on the following technologies is a pre
- C#, xUnit
- NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis)
- SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- JavaScript
- UML
Experience in using open source software packages/tools is beneficial
Profile:
Engineering:
- (space) System Engineering experience
- Architecture Framework and modelling experience (TOGAF, NAF, DODAF, MODAF)
- Concurrent Design and Engineering experience is a plus
- ECSS standards knowledge is a plus
- Requirements engineering expertise is a plus
Software experience:
- Information and data modelling
- UML,
- SysML
- XML
- Expert in developing applications in and interfacing with MS Office 2003, 2007 and 2010
- VBA
- VSTO
- Com Add-ins
- Databases development (SQL, postgrSQL, etc…)
- SQL
- PostgreSQL
- NoSQL (MongoDB, CouchDB, etc.)
- Experience with Python, Perl, etc is a plus
- Experience with C# is a plus
