The Germany based Marketing and Business Development Manager, working closely with RHEA CSO and RHEA current and prospective Clients, will be responsible for identifying and securing new business, increasing RHEA presence and revenue base in Germany in the Space sector. Based primarily in RHEA Darmstadt office, reporting directly to RHEA CSO, the Germany based Marketing and Business Development Manager will lead, guide and co-ordinate all RHEA Germany based business accounts activities, ensuring a shared vision, close working relationships, aligned delivery and marketing plans with the customers anticipated requirements and the RHEA Group strategic direction.
Role:
- Leading the Germany based Marketing and Business Development activity working closely with the CSO identifying new opportunities and building relationships with new and current clients in Germany.
- Optimizing new business opportunities leveraging from existing contractual vehicles.
- Cultivating and managing efficiently internal and external contacts/network to increase RHEA visibility towards current and prospective clients in Germany.
- Managing the evolution of clients’ projects from proposal to contract start date.
- Responsible for preparing the annual Germany based Space business revenue forecast in accordance with set targets.
- Establish a strong and collaborative relationship with RHEA Engineering and Products Section Heads supporting them when and where required on contract issues.
- Responsible for overseeing RHEA Germany recruitment activity.
- Assist in ensuring a fit between client resource needs and RHEA’s skills portfolio.
Profile:
- 10+ years experience in a Service Delivery environment, with 5+ years experience in a Business Development management position with Client focus.
- University degree in Engineering compatible with RHEA sphere of activity plus additional Management qualifications.
- Proven experience in the Space sector, with in depth knowledge of Satellite systems, Ground Segment, Manned Space, Control Systems or Ground Software Systems.
- Established relationships in the Space sector with a proven track record of winning new business.
- Proven Project Management skills.
- High energy individual with natural commitment to excellence.
- Fluent in English and German, with excellent writing skills. Other languages would be an asset.
- Ability to travel as requested in Europe
- Enjoys working in a team, and can motivate people at all levels in an organisation
- Is flexible to the task in hand, and can apply to differing working environments and cultures.
