Manufacturing and Operations Information System
The Manufacturing and Operations Information System (MOIS) is the industry leading suite of tools for Spacecraft and Ground Segment testing, Operations Preparation and Automation. MOIS tools are designed to interface together with each other, and also to the other components of a typical EGSE or mission control system environment.
To date, MOIS has been used to manage procedures for over 75 spacecraft and it is uniquely designed to be independent from individual control system and EGSE environments. MOIS manages procedures generically and supports a wide range of operations and checkout languages, including several variants of PLUTO, tcl/TOPE , UCL, Elisa, STOL, Python.
MOIS is used as standard by the European Space Agency (ESA) and is also in use for operations for German, Italian and French national space agencies. MOIS is also in wide use in the space industry by major system integrators, spacecraft and instrument manufacturers including EADS-Astrium GmbH, Thales Alenia Space (TAS), EADS-CASA, OHB and Orbital Sciences.
