RHEA to Supply Engineering Services to the European GNSS Agency (GSA) for Galileo and EGNOS Exploitation
RHEA has been awarded a contract to provide engineering services to support the GSA in the exploitation of Galileo and EGNOS. The contract initially set duration is four years, and its estimated value is 7 M€.
The European GNSS Agency (GSA) has recently been charged by the European Commission with taking over responsibility for exploitation and commercialisation of the European flagship programmes Galileo and EGNOS. EGNOS has been providing an operational European Wide Area Augmentation Service for GPS since 2009. The first two Galileo spacecraft were launched in October of 2011, and deployment of the Initial Operational Capability is planned for 2014.
