MOIS DB
MOIS DB is the database editing tool used to interface with SCOS 2000 compliant operational mission databases. It offers a complete suite of easy-to-use database editing and visualisation tools for both spacecraft analysts and engineers. DB is designed primarily for missions needing to develop or standardise a database.
If operations preparation work has to start before the control system is available, MOIS DB provides a generic database into which data from the satellite manufacturer can be imported and developed upon, and then exported to the final structure when it becomes known and available.
DB handles the import of existing databases, either from the satellite manufacturer or from an older database structure. By allowing these to be edited or added to, it produces the MOIS operational database.
The DB editing system offers a user-friendly graphical interface allowing complete control (in terms of editing) of all the tables forming part of the database structure as well as several utilities. This interface permits easy navigation to the data sets required for the editing session.
DB allows the creation and maintenance of the database structure and contents. It offers to the user the functionality of a consistency check based on internally-defined table relationship rules.
