We are currently looking for an Assistant Corporate Security Officer to work at our Headquarters in the city of Wavre, Belgium.

As Assistant Corporate Security Officer you will be working closely with your Corporate Security Office colleagues, incl the Corporate Security Officer (CSO), the Deputy CSO and Corporate Information Security Officer (CISO).

Your tasks can be split in 3 major groups, Corporate Security, Personal & Facility Security Clearances and Classified information. The task related to personal clearances is of major importance to the growth of the RHEA Group related to that you will be one of the main interfaces to the Belgian NSA.

The ASCO reports directly to the CSO.  You will enter in a very dynamic environment driven by the growth of the RHEA Group and by the growing need for secure solutions and services within our customer base.

Tasks and Activities

The tasks and activities to be performed by the Assistant Corporate Security Officer are grouped in 3 specific areas:

Corporate Security:

  • Assist the Corporate Security Officer (CSO) and the Corporate Security Office (CS Office) colleagues in the definition, implementation and application of the security procedures for the RHEA Group in accordance with the Corporate Security Procedures.
  • Participate in ISO27001, and as required and necessary, ISO9001 and Business Continuity management activities, including participation in/contributing to BC/DR planning and exercises.
  • Contribute to the planning of the activities of the CS Office.
  • Facilitate contacts and acts as communication channels where it relates to Corporate Security as needed, whether for communications internal to the RHEA group, or to external entities.
  • Perform the role of Local Security Officer for Wavre.
  • Organise, participate and minute the periodic CS Office meetings and LSOs coordination meetings.
  • Monitor and ensure uniformity of security at the different RHEA Group office(s), and all contracts or projects related to the site(s) security administered from that/those office(s).
  • Provide local support for the CISO and ISSO, with CSO notification, regarding local supplier relationships and their activities.
  • Make aware CISO, Deputy CSO or CSO about vulnerabilities or discrepancies in execution of security activities.

Personal and Facility Security:

  • Master and contribute to the work necessary for obtaining initially, and later renew, the FSC, collaborating with the colleagues of the CS Office for new sites and existing sites.
  • Support the proper completion and submission of Personal Security Clearance Information Sheets, Personal Security Clearance and Request for Visit requests.
  • Use the HABIL tool for Personal Security Clearance related interactions with the Belgian NSA.
  • Assist the colleagues of the Corporate Security Office in the yearly trainings, security briefings etc related to Sensitive or Classified information and Facility and Personal Security Clearances at the different RHEA Group site(s).
  • Ensure that only personnel who have a “need-to-know” have physical access to sensitive or Classified information and assets at the RHEA Group site(s) in close collaboration with the local security officers (LSO).
  • Ensure that all Key Senior Officials (e.g., those personnel in executive or senior management roles) of the legal entity are cleared to the highest level of access required.
  • Inform the appropriate national security authorities of any relevant change in the company, as per applicable legislation.
  • Provided the periodic reports required by the legislation to the Belgian NSA,
  • Assist the other site local security officers (LSOs) to guarantee necessary periodic communications are submitted to the respective NSAs.

Classified information:

  • Maintain one or more, according to the applicable rules and legislation, “Classified Document Register” for receipt and issue of Classified documents for the site(s) under his/her responsibility, and ensure to make them available as necessary and required by the applicable legislation.
  • Monitor the handling and control of sensitive, protected and Classified documents and media.
  • Support the future evolution of the RHEA Group security profile and needs related to the handling of classified information.

Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • At least 3 years of experience in supporting complex administrative procedure.
  • Experience with the processes related to Facility and Personal Security. Clearance request, Visitor Requests on EU/NATO level.
  • Experience with processes around handling of classified information.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Security clearance (EU Secret) will be necessary, therefore only nationals of the EU countries will be considered for this role.

The following skills would be highly desirable:

  • In possession of a Personal Security Clearance.
  • Experience with advanced Corporate Security and EU/ESA/NATO related topics like CIS, Crypto, Facility and Personal Security Clearances.
  • International experience across countries.
  • Professional use of languages other than English.
