We are looking for an Open Service Authentication Engineer to work at ESTEC’s premises in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.

The key individual will provide activities in support of the consolidation of the OS Authentication of Galileo.

Tasks and Activities

The scope of work will include:

  • Providing support for the consolidation of the system concept of the OS Authentication service, with the identification of the main system/segment functional chains needed to implement the concept.
  • Providing support for the consolidation of the system and segment requirements related to the OS Authentication service, including relevant justification and traceability.
  • Contributing to the definition of the validation strategy for the OS Authentication service.
  • Documenting the outcome of the tasks performed in this work package, contributing to the preparation of the technical documentation.

Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • A Master’s degree and ideally 5 years’ experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in Galileo or EGNOS.
  • Familiar with authentication protocols (e.g., TESLA protocols).
  • Evidence of being an organised, dynamic and proactive individual.
  • Eligible for an EU Security Clearance.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.

The following skills would be highly desirable:

  • Experience on the Open Service.
  • Already in possession of EU Security Clearance (Secret).
