Description

You will have the opportunity to provide engineering support to the Galileo System PA&S Unit in all the activities related to the execution of the Galileo System Product Assurance and Safety Programme. This position is based in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.

Tasks and Activities
  • You will be providing PA&S support to the Galileo System Integration and Verification (SIV) activities.

  • You will be reviewing test procedures and test reports.

  • You will be witnessing test executions and report on the status and the major issues.

  • You will be supporting configuration inspections as needed.

  • You will be participating in TRRs, PTRs, TRBs.

  • You will be contributing to the identification and processing of non-conformances and to the proceedings of the Galileo Non-conformance Review Boards (NRB).

  • You will be participating in Project Reviews at System level, and at Segment level when requested, by reviewing documentations, raising comments and RIDs, discussing them with industry and providing feedback particularly on major critical areas.

  • You will be providing PA&S support to Galileo Security related activities when required.

  • You will be providing PA&S support to the GNSS Evolution development activities (e.g. Galileo Second Generation).

  • You will be monitoring and providing feedback on industrial Contractor activities.

  • You will be supporting the implementation and maintenance of the Navigation Directorate Quality Management System.

Skills and Experience
  • You have PhD or Msc Engineering from a recognised Institution of secondary studies (University, Ecole supĂ©rieure, etc.) or equivalent in engineering or technical sciences.

  • You have a minimum of 10 years experience in the space sector including 5 years in Product and Quality Assurance.

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills together with a high degree of organizational and communication abilities, and you are comfortable with working in a diverse and multinational team environment.

  • Relevant experience in PA&S management in the space domain.

The following skills would be highly desirable:

  • Knowledge of Configuration Management or the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to ISO 9001.

Preference will be given to candidates eligible for an EU or national personal security clearance at the level of SECRET or above.
