Thanks to the support of Bank Degroof / Petercam and Promethea, the Planetarium of the Royal Observatory of Belgium was able to launch a crowdfunding campaign to buy a full dome show for pupils.

This campaign started on Monday 2nd March and will end on Wednesday 15th April 2020 and it is on display on the Gingo collaborative platform:

The goal is to reach € 18,000 to finance the purchase of a new full dome show for pupils as well as the translation and recording of the audio tape in 3 languages (Nl, Fr and En). On the Gingo platform, a presentation clip and the description of the project are on display. The Planetarium is continuously promoting its campaign through its Facebook page to keep its audience informed and the progress of the campaign.

With its social involvement, RHEA Group, a privately-owned custom engineering and systems development company for the aerospace industry, has decided to support the Brussels Planetarium in the acquisition of this show for pupils, aware of the importance of transmitting the wonder of science and of the space universe to young people. RHEA Group has decided to help the Planetarium in funding the show itself, as well as helping the Federal Scientific Institute in the communication of its crowdfunding campaign.
