Joanna – Service Manager
Joanna is a Service Manager working with the European Space Agency (ESA) in the Netherlands. She joined RHEA in 2018 and enjoys the diversity of her role, new challenges, good coffee and travelling – especially to Korea and Indonesia.
What did you study and why?
I studied Korean Philology, due to my love for Asia and Asian culture.
What does your job involve?
I am a Service Manager for the EFC2 Frame Contract with ESA. It is a very diverse role, which includes being the main interface between the client, RHEA’s back office and employees. I am responsible for taking care of all the contract deliverables, as well as helping employees with any queries they might have.
What is your favourite aspect of your job?
The diversity, both in terms of working with people from many different cultural backgrounds and having a diverse role.
What makes you want to get up for work each morning?
New challenges, nice colleagues, good coffee and the sun!
How does your role make a difference to the success of the company?
By being the ‘middle man’ in my role, I ensure that information is clearly and efficiently communicated between all parties involved.
I would like to be a part of RHEA’s growth. I welcome the opportunity to grow within the company, as RHEA’s values perfectly align with mine.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
My biggest love is travelling and exploring. I have a passion for adventure! I like sports very much, particularly swimming, cycling and the gym.
Tell us something unusual about yourself
I lived in Korea and Indonesia for a number of years. Both of those places have a special place in my heart: Korea because of the food and technical advancement and Indonesia because of the amazing people and nature. I travel back there regularly.
