Roxana – Service Delivery Manager

Roxana is RHEA’s Service Delivery Manager in Darmstadt, Germany. She originally joined the company’s recruitment team in 2019.

What did you study and why?

I studied Communication Science because I was interested to further develop my communication skills, particularly in an organizational context. From an early age, I envisioned myself to be working with many colleagues in cross-cultural teams and for that I needed a strong foundation.

Is this the role you were initially employed for?

I was employed as a recruiter, transitioned into a recruitment business partner and recently I became Service Manager for Germany. I was lucky enough to receive the opportunity to change my career direction and be promoted quite quickly within the RHEA family.

What does your job involve?

As a Service Manager I need to ensure the quality of the service delivery to all PES clients in Germany, liaising between the client, the employees and RHEA Group’s back office. This role has so much variety – today you can work on budgets and invoices and tomorrow you can onboard a new employee who has just joined your team.

There are meetings with clients, negotiations and plenty of interaction with our employees and with different departments in the company such as Finance, HR, Legal and Recruitment.

My favourite aspect of my job is the diversity. Every day is different: always something new, always encountering new situations and gaining valuable experience from them.

What makes you want to get up for work each morning?

Working in a great team with supportive colleagues and managers.

In what way does your role makes a difference to the success of the company?

I believe every person brings unique contributions within the company. Mine perhaps would be to facilitate communication between different departments and to contribute to expanding our business here in Germany.

What made you want to work in this sector?

Back in my country this sector is not as popular, but I was interested to learn more and experience what it is like to work in such a domain. And I continue to work in it because it is a growing industry which could offer many opportunities in the future.

Growth is important for me and I definitely see myself evolving in my current position. RHEA is a nice place for growth as the company is continuously expanding. As long as we have access to these internal opportunities, I can see myself growing within the company.

It is very easy as we share the same values; such values are very important both in my professional life and my personal life. It is great to see you are are part of a team that values trust, collaboration and commitment and work is always so much easier when everyone stays true to these values.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

My favourite thing to do in my spare time is to travel. I love food as well, so I am always happy to experience culinary trips and/or spend some time in the kitchen and try new recipes. Last but not least, I am very interested in health and fitness and alternative medicine, so I tend to read many books on these topics whenever I have time.

Tell us something unusual about yourself?

I love animals, in particular cats. However, although I have lived with cats all my life, during the past 6 years I have developed a bad allergy to cats and unfortunately I cannot be close to them if I do not take the right medication. So my grandmother is taking care of my beloved cat, who is now 20 years old. My cat is healthy and full of life and I cannot be happier that she had the opportunity to live so long and be my companion.
