Harassment complaints have been on the rise in the past few years resulting in the Government of Canada tabling Bill C-65 which will amend the Canada Labour Code Part II, to make it a requirement for Federal Departments to have an independent party investigate such allegation. In anticipation of Bill C-65 receiving Royal assent, RHEA Group has created an offering to prevent Harassment in the workplace so that Federal Departments can offer such training as either part of the disciplinary process or in a proactive measure to provide their employees the tolls necessary to prevent such behavior.
The training is tailored to needs of the Federal Government employees and covers everyone’s responsibilities in providing and be provided a harassment free workplace environment.
The training is delivered in a classroom setting to promote interactivity while answering questions and concerns from the participants. The course content includes:
- Presenting live cases are presented to demonstrate inappropriate and expected behaviour.
- Reviewing legislation and case law on judgement rendered.
- Discussing how the issues could have been prevented.
- Obtaining feedback, comments from the participants to measure success of the training session.
- Adapt the session as required based on trends and new case law.
