For the past five years, RHEA has been supporting ‘Sunshine in Nosy Komba’, which focuses on providing and promoting education, healthcare and sustainable development to the 5,000-strong local population of Nosy Komba, a small volcanic island off the main Madagascar island, in East Africa.
Through its work at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands, RHEA became involved with the organisation, which is also based in Holland.
RHEA Business Manager, Gianluca Cerrone, who leads the company’s support to the foundation, explains why RHEA got involved with the charity. “We all live and work in an environment that knows the importance of education. The Sunshine in Nosy Komba project provides us with the opportunity to support education where help is needed, trying to improve the lives of the local kids in Nosy Komba, and especially positively impact their future.”
